I actually did "fix" my life when I turned 20. Before that, I was a NEET HS drop out playing mostly MMOs for 12+ hours a day. As I got older, I was losing interest in vidya. At 20, an uncle offered me a job in construction as a helper for $13/hr. I moved up to foreman in a year at $20/hr then the company was bought out and was bumped up to $25/hr and I drove a company truck that I was allowed to take home. I was fit, had a social life since I hanged out with my Chad cousin, had my own apartment, lost my virginity, etc. Then at 23 I started having symptoms of schizophrenia which I tried to ignore. I eventually lost it all and moved back home. I got a shitty retail job for about a year until I deteriorated too much that I ended up in a psychward and seeing a psychiatrist. I got on NEETBUX at 24 and have been a neet living with parents, pay them rent with neetbux, doing nothing all day but sit on my PC or stare at a wall. I can't even enjoy vidya anymore unless I'm drunk. 28 now and not sure how much longer I can take this.

The problem is ignorance. Treatment for adhd is both medication amd planning, alot of people just think they can fix their shit through pure willpower or pure medication.

I thought Icould just take vyvanse and be "normal," unfortunately that desnt teach you the the comedown from the drugs can be harsher than actual ADHD.

Actually thats the opposite case. In my position I. Was just taking the drugs and thinking that was all I had to do. All that meant was I didnt plan shit, popped my pills, failed, and had periodic bouts of depression.

Got a new doctor, one that told me to get a grip, helped lower my dose somewhat, put me in control with adderall IR instead of long lasting shit with a comedowm, started therapy to actual develope strategies for the symptoms that amphetamine doesn't fix. i also finally learned what embarassing quirks of mine have roots in my adhd, not so I can excuse myself for them, but so I dont have to hate myself as hard over them.

Even with planning, unmedicated im still rolling at minuses for willpower and perception, the meds, when controlled, will actually let me compete with your average person.

And whats funny is this great doctor is the most jewish of all doctors Ive had.
