I think I speak for most of us by saying this: I pirate games simply because I can. The only denuvo protected game that I didn't uninstall after 2-3 hours of gameplay was Resident Evil 7 which I thoroughly enjoyed from start to end and bought after I played the Denuvo cracked version. Every other single Denuvo protected game so far has been shit and boring, so why would I even bother spending money on it.
Besides, there are literally tens of thousands of other games to play out there, some of them old games, some of them online games (which I paid for since I essentially have to).

If today's game weren't just fucking regurgitated garbage (yes, I'm looking at you, Doom, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Tomb Raider, Far Cry etc.) and offered original, captivating gameplay with nice graphics and sound as a bonus then we wouldn't have to resort to pirating them.

I'm waiting for another Dead Space 2, Morrowind/Skyrim, Bioshock 2, Resident Evil 4 and 7, Half-Life 2, Shadow of Mordor, Return to Castle Wolfenstein/new order, System Shock 2, hell, even fucking Betrayal at Krondor was fun compared to the shit we have today.

Would be interesting to actually get some stats on how much is lost to piracy vs how much denuvo costs. Precises stats never ever for obvious reasons, but looking at leecher stats on release i'd say piracy drains like what 40k x $60 = 2.4 mil for AAA titles, and denuvo costs what 400k?

Problem with that is that a lot of people who pirate a game are on the fence, so you can't just say 2.4mil > 400k therefore all people who pirated would buy our game and we'd get profits. But there's no way to quantify who would and who wouldn't buy the game without piracy so now what.
