The same way you do with every other controller. Forward, down, downforward.
>>
>>376227440
Ho-holy sheet! Is this really faster that the joystic? I mean, your reactions in game.
>>
>>376226614
Some people are better on controller, some better on stick.
Personally I prefer stick because its easier for me to hit motions with.

stick for jap fighting games, pad for western fighting games for me

how can someone play MKX with a stick?
>>
>>376228065
>how can someone play MKX with a stick?
first you plug the stick in, then you play with it
>>
>>376227826
It's not just faster but for charge characters its great can hold down back and just tap forward or up to get specials and you have charge much faster.

Guess I'm gonna be a Hori guy from here out.

Excuse me, but isn't this like playing with a keyboard on a PC?
>>
>>376227556
you pray to god you're playing a modern game with lenient input shortcuts
>>
>>376226614

Pad is easier to learn, I'd go stick only if I thought I will travel overseas to tournaments. I imported a Qanba Q4 and I dropped it after 2 weeks of trying to learn playing on it, the difference in returning the stick to neutral or inputting directionals is HUGE. I probably also missed my chance to resell it since I'm from Europe, oh well.

Neither, it depends on the skill of the player. Stick is ideal of you play in arcades.
>>376228430
Keep practicing. Two weeks won't make you good.

Obviously. It actually wasn't that bad once I figured out I need to exert more force on my left hand to synchronize directional press with attack buttons. Unfortunately, Korean Backdash on P2 side was so frustrating and physically exerting, I gave up on it completely.

On the bright side, it taught me how to kbd on a pad well enough from both sides so I can advance further in my Tekken skills.

No, it's not the same.

He's probably talking about prices skyrocketing due to Madcatz going bankrupt. Now they're $400-600.
>>
>>376226614
If you have never played in arcades and and is good with controller in other games definitely pick pad stick has a very big entry barrier, and if you are not used to wither, keyboard is a very good choice too, keyboard i think is by far the easiest to get into if you have never played fighting games because there's no way you are not used to keyboard. And you use it daily.
Tl:dr stick has a very big entry barrier if you have never played in arcades and they are expensive as fuck
>>
>>376230609
Stick was easy to get into though. Took me under a week to get adjusted.
>>
>>376227440
Don't play fighting games, but why not just use a pc keyboard?
>>
>>376228241
Get this instead
https://www.focusattack.com/qanba-crystal-ps4-ps3-pc-fightstick/
It has parts that are closer to Sanwa.
