SFxT and SFV had good ideas, but were surrounded by bad decisions.
I loved SFV until Capcom started shitting the bed. By the time Season 2 came, all hope died. That was supposed to be when the game would leave the beta status, but nope, have Akuma, some npcs, and a shifted up tier list.
MVCI will have some good offline modes unlike that motherfucking survival mode from SFV and gallery mode, and they have a Marvel player doing a Marvel game unlike SFV that have Woshige, an anime player, doing it. Also, it seems they are getting marketing right, with that Rocket Raccoon teaser the same day GotG2 released.
After seeing the gameplay, I'm hyped as fucked and will preorder if they announce a character I like, but fuck me if I won't be disappointed, but not surprised if they start fucking up after release, like showing a character 2 days before he is supposed to be released after months of silence.

The only thing Injustice has going for it is the massive relatively varied roster. But u found the first one incredibly shallow. Dunb plot, ugly characters and slow fighting that was incredibly easy to go through. Not to mention environmental hazards made every fight cheese-able. My 6yo brother was able to win late game fights, sometimes he could just get to the end of a room and spam an hazard, like the airport level that had infinite missiles. From what I've seen Injustice 2 doesn't really differ and the "RPG" elements they added are just dumb

Marvel on the other hand has a more consistent style and always feels fairly challenging to me

But then again, I've rarely played fighting games competitively. I've been told that I'm an ignorant pleb and that Injustice is way deeper than i think mechanically. Could've been DC fanboys tho

I'm ok with this because the launch roster is pretty robust and the DLC characters aren't on-disc/finished before launch. Also, they've made some really good picks for the post launch roster. Red Hood I could do without, but at least he looks good, and Starfire? Sub-Zero? Raiden? Spawn? Black Manta? Shiiiiiet.

Gear isn't used in tourneys and has no effect beyond changing your cosmetics in ranked play OR if both players don't consent to using it in non-ranked play.

I'm not a fan of how variant/alternate moves are considered "gear" however, as variations was easily one of the best parts of MKX. Hopefully this gets addressed in a patch.

Movement is slow, Gravity is too heavy. no air movement OR Air combos.
The atacks FEEL realy good, i give that to the any day, but you dont have any freedom, you can only connect combos that are programed to connect,

Anything that runs well on my laptop is fine. Recently released BB seems to work fine so thats what i play right now (but damn 52gb just for this). Any classic is fine too.
