Honestly, I don't think we'll ever get it out of a DMC game. To get back to that point we'd have to give up on ol' Uncle Dante.Because of the massive success that DMC3 was we will have our fun loving over the top CUHRAYZEE Dante, which means the games have to take place in a CUHRAYZEE world. Honestly I wouldn't mind having a more runny and gunny spinoff staring a Tony Redgrave type character who fights demons that is a bit more down to earth than DMC. But there's a chance we'd be left with a soulless noncharacter like DMC2's Dante if that were the case.

All the way back in 2012 Capcom said it wanted to reduce the development time on subsequent titles in DMC series to 2.5 years. At the end, the article
speculates that according to this objective the next one would be released in the summer of 2015. That's exactly what happened. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition was released in June 2015. So... when we add to this analysis the facts that:-

>Itsuno (Director of DMC) saying he'll announce his new game this year

It's utterly idiotic to NOT expect an announcement this E3. There is a bunch of other stuff corroborating this as well such as DMC4: SE being revealed approximately 6 months before its release date as well. I have personally placed Devil May Cry 5 to be squarely in Jan 2018. Haters, shitposters and pussies will deny all the evidence but have faith Devil bros. I really liked the town of Fortuna, I wish there were move levels in it instead of the outskirts.
DMC3's apocalyptic looking city also looked interesting but sadly most of the game takes place in the tower.
These games have some neat settings but sadly outside of DMC1 they don't really do much with them.
