Analog triggers still send input throughout the entire act of depressing them.
It only affects idiot devs that make you fully depress the trigger to get an input if you are playing on console where you can't configure that kind of thing because console manufacturers assume that you're a pleb.

And for certain genres and smart devs they are useful tools.

Dual stage triggers are the best variant because you also get a button.
