This, but that's how games are nowadays, they don't let the balance of a game settle and let people get good at that, they've always gotta fuck with it to keep people coming back to check out the new character/balance patch/whatever.

Quake Champions is something you play once a month with friends and then forget about. It doesn't have the smoothness, the visual clarity, the deep mechanics of previous Quakes.
