Don't be sad OP, Persona is the definition of artificial difficulty, increasing the amount of damage you receive will increasing how much they deal, which would be fine if it didn't also just decrease the amount of EXP and money you get. The only increase in difficulty is an increase in the necessity to grind.

there's really not many ways to avoid enemies in kamoshida's castle. basically every room is a corridor with a few exceptions. you can avoid all enemies in the church and when you first get to the rooftop which is pretty nice

All hard mode does is increase enemy health and decrease your damage; the very definition of artificial difficulty. Normal is the best difficulty for this game.

Yeah, but combat isn't a slogfest like it is on Hard because of increased weakness damage. I don't know how Atlus keeps dropping the ball with gameplay, all they had to do was copy SMT IV's mechanics and they'd have a Press Turn system that's actually good, but they insist on botching it up again.
