I think it's pretty interesting that some older games do that. I guess I can see the benefit but I like being able to see my weapon too. Especially when "no weapon" is like in OP's image with all those lines on the screen and not just a crosshair.

The difference between trained and untrained soldiers was laughable. I remember a mission where the ghost recon team was ambushed at the start of the mission. I picked an all noob team and they were slaughtered. I tried again with people i put xp into and it was so much easier.

I would have replied but I thought he meant the low number of weapons in the game (which I thought was a weird complaint since there is a decent amount). But yeah, type headsup in the console or as a launch option and you'll get a buggy and clipping character model with a gun.

Shouldn't matter unless you care a lot about no DRM. Neither version works well right out of the gate. Wish someone could manage a source port or rebuild of the game. Though you can get it serviceable with dgvoodoo2. I still can't get the videos to work well though even with the xvid versions.
