To the creators of some of my favorite games: thank you. Thank you for a system that is so unique that opening it and just playing with the controller and portable display is satisfaction enough.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories I now hold dear as an adult. On behalf of all gamers, thank you. The Switch is the most amazing system in a generation or more, and a true testament to just how brilliant your company is. It truly keeps the rest of the gaming industry afloat.
For your troubles, you are being rewarded with the fastest selling system of all time. Including the PS4 at its launch. We're proud of you, and we're happy to grow with you.
Sincerely,
The Men of /v/

I know this is bait, but seriously, as somebody who owns a Switch and thinks BotW is a GOAT contender, you're trying too hard.
I teach at a college where faculty are occasionally required to be on duty in the evenings (until after midnight). I usually use the time to do after-hours tutoring, but tonight I brought my Switch and told the kids we'd take study breaks for mario kart. At first they were lukewarm, but then the Nintendo nostalgia kicked in and the Switch does what it does best - it sold itself.
I'm so blinded by my faith in everything Nintendo does that I often forgot how awesome this thing is. I take it out of the case and set it on the play stand:
"Dude that thing is ... look at it! It's so sexy!"
"Bro I've never seen Nintendo graphics this sharp!"
"Is that the whole system right there? You mean you can play it with no TV or use it on an HDTV?"
"Wait it comes with two controllers?"
They tried Mario Kart. They played a little bomberman. Fast RMX, 1-2 Switch, pretty much every game I have (wouldn't let them touch my BoTW save though). After I asserted my MK8D dominance they instantly went to Amazon to find one, eager to spend $300 on the spot (these are poor college students, mind you). If only they were available ... oh well. I told them keep checking because they're constantly restocking. Once this thing gets into the dorms it will spread ... not one of them didn't fall in love instantly.
"This thing is perfect for the dorms! Don't need a tv and it just slips right in your drawer."
"I can play with anyone, anywhere, anytime. This is like the game boy on steroids!"
I heard all the anti-Nintendo comments from this generation of kids while we talked about the Switch, and one theme kept coming up - they thought Nintendo was done. Wii and Wii U didn't excite them, and they had written the company off completely in favor of XBox and PS. The Switch just brought them all back.
Nintendo really has something special here.

Which part is bait? That would imply part of it isn't true or sincere, when in fact it's all true.

Sorry, puddin.

BOTW is boring as fuck and I got a switch as soon as I could with the restocks

Nobody except for shills or fanboys says this though, its just a solid adventure game with polish not scene all the time.
Also these are most likely reposts from plebbit so always remember to sage.

>fastest selling system of all time
>fastest selling NINTENDO system of all time
Notice the difference?
Sega Dreamcast was the fastest selling SEGA system of all time.
See what I did there?

No, most of the people who hate the game are in fact shills or Zelda fanboys. It's the opposite.

Nice pasta. Mind if I copy it?

Some are probably shills yes (same goes for how the crowbcat video blew up faster then the PS4 launch fail compilation video) however I'm pretty sure a lot of Zelda fans like BOTW. Only ones who probably didn't are Ocarinafags who just want yet another Ocarina of Time rehash and not something that takes a risk even though there are definitely problems.
