Now, it isn't remotely frightening. As a kid, though, I hated fighting it. It's the "hidden" timer aspect of it which only it and the final boss have in their fights. I was kind of a fucked up kid who had panic problems, and this fucker really got to me. It isn't like the majority of the fights where you can take your time; you HAD to start firing off eggs and rounding up more to keep going, because he's going to knock you off the edge otherwise.

Also, do you really have to kill missingno? Do you even have to ENCOUNTER missingno? I recall it having duplicated the item after any of the cinnabar glitch battles.

It also duplicates items you'd normally not have a counter for, like HMs. I duplicated something once (i think it was the bike, don't remember), but it didn't have a counter beside it after. i had to deposit them all into the PC 1 by 1.

It's not actually 255, the number varies. The sixth item slot's quantity gets overwritten with the ID number of the pokemon you encounter. If you encounter something with a low number, you get very few rare candies. The reason for wanting to encounter MISSNGNO is that the ID value is higher than any real pokemon's ID.

Dreamcast one wasn't anything like the Genesis ones. Story, devs, etc. all different and unrelated. Annunziata wanted to make a third game to finish the Ecco Trilogy but Sega refuses to let him use the license.
