I'm making my way through the original for the first time on PC right now, I just made it to Chapter 5. Should I be transmigrating my characters during the main game, or should that wait for the NG+, or what? Also, is there a way to recruit Mid-Boss later in the game?

if i dislike grinding and most turn based rpgs (exclusions ive found are mario and luigi superstar saga and i have played very little but generally like paper mario) is there even a chance i might like disgaia or the prinny platformer for psp? the character design has convinced me i probably should try one

It's not really a turn based RPG like what you're thinking, from what I've played it's really closer to something like Fire Emblem or the newer XCOM games.
