I think it will sell well but I think we might be disappointed by the presentation. I've been buying up PS1 games lately and have all 3 games but I haven't played them yet. Waiting to see how the reviews for the remake. If people think it sucks I'll just play them on PS.

I hope not. Got to play the demo today and had a good time. I like needing to complete the bonus rounds in Crash 1 for the stage's gem since they let you retry it as many times as necessary. That way, it's up to the player if they want to keep trying or come back and try another time. I'm wondering why they didn't implement Warped's double wumpa per hit on the 10 hit boxes but did include Warped's box counter among other QOL improvements that the second and third games have. Maybe to keep the suspense for some of the box bridges in the Bonus rounds.

it'll probably sell fairly well...but when you consider it in attach rate for the average PS4 owner, it'll look insignificant, but hey, that's pretty much every game on the system.

I'm honestly kinda dissapointed by some of the design choices they're making. On one hand it's great to see a fresh take on the franchise but, imo it simply isn't as appealing. Most of the time, it seems quite washed out. The art in general is also has that sort of wonkyness to it that you see in western art styles. The originals look a lot more unified. Like, just look at the new font/HUD they're using. In the originals, Nitro boxes had a really bold and simple font and so, looked more threatening and almost mysterious. Now, they have a wacky, overly cartoonish font... it's too obvious, if that makes sense. Where'd that charm go? It's all looking a bit too generic, Saturday cartoon-esque.
Still looks great overall, game play looks tight, everything looks high quality so, I'm not complaining too much.

This bothers me a bit too. I've replayed CB1 recently and I can't think of any situation that would become THAT much more difficult if it was changed to 5 jumps. Especially now that bonuses, which usually have the most of those crates in the air, can be re-entered.

This was almost entirely the work of Activision. The company that acquired the IP from Naughty Dog, ages ago, and refused to sell it back. They allowed Naughty Dog to license a portion of the first game for Uncharted 4, but it's out of Naughty Dog's hands.
