This shit fucking aggravates me.

I'm still against them mostly because I don't want the MSQ to suffer because they start writing it with the assumption that people have just bypassed everything that came before. People can skip all they want, just don't write around it.

The way that they tied up basically all the loose ends from HW and even ARR with Ilberd before SB comes out only makes me feel more like that's what happened.

Conflict with Warriors of Darkness ended after one patch focusing on them after they were teased in the background since 3.0. Ilberd died as part of the final patch and now there's basically nothing left that grabs me and makes me want to follow the story forward from here. The """""reveal""""" of Lyse was weak shit that everyone predicted the second they saw her when SB was announced.

I just hope they don't continue the trend of wrapping everything up cleanly so that people that skip start with a clean slate.

The only arc that ended that felt good to me was the end of the Dragonsong War.

That one month vacation they took immediately after HW launch was quite possibly the worst time to take it. It delayed everything and made it all that much worse.

Gordias basically murdered the raid scene on most servers and 3.1 was the worst fucking patch they've ever added to this game. People waited like 5 months instead of 3 for a patch that ended up being pure trash and it was going to be another 3 months before there was even a chance of the game getting good.

If SE bungles like that again and there's another 8 month trash period it may very well kill the game. I really hope they don't do that again.

At level 60. You got about 8-10 hours worth of story content wall to force your way through at level 50 until you break into the HW story, which is a lot shorter.

It's hilarious how the early leveling is by far the worst aspect of this game and probably the biggest reason for losing subs, yet they have no plans on addressing the issue or reducing the story 'content' you're required to do from 1-50. All of it is misndless mail delivering with occasional solo fighting brainless instanced battles.

If you "just can't figure it out" and you're pretty sure you've got the rotation "about right", I GUARANTEE you you're not hitting on the GCD and are instead constantly and repeatedly delaying it, even by a tiny amount.
I've seen this so fucking often with people it's unreal. I'm a 98%+ parser and often use teamviewer and stuff to see how people play. EVERYONE who raids well but can't see why their dps just isn't good is hitting just shy of their GCD.
Like, the GCD skill will come OFF COOLDOWN and THEN they'll press it, meaning instead of ~2.4s GCD they're actually hitting like 2.65s. Or for monk, instead of 2.05s you'll be hitting at 2.2s.
And that's a massive fucking loss. That's 10% loss at all times because shit GCD, that's 100% of your skill speed having 0 stat weight whatsoever (except on dots), that's your buffs and debuffs not applying to themselves on the next rotation because too slow, and that's nearly always one or even two skills fewer inside each buff during your opner, ESPECIALLY if you're delaying GCD further with double buffing and slow presses.
When the skill, GCD or oGCD, is less than 0.5s from coming off cooldown, you can press it and it will queue, making it press instantly after your animation finishes and it comes off cooldown.

It's so, so often the problem.
