Old Team Ninja was better

Old Capcom. MGR comes close (not entirely for gameplay reasons though) but bayonetta doesn't really hold a candle to DMC.

Seeing as the term CUHRAYZEE is born from DMC it is easily CAPCOM. Platinum and Capcom are equal in terms of being able to animate hack and slash games but with DMC it seems the team over at CAPCOM are better at making them feel responsive to your button presses. There was always a small itch I could never point towards in Platinum games when it comes to combat and I think it just tends to be that there feels like no weighty reaction to an enemy getting hit by your weapons like there is in DMC, the issue lies with the enemies not the character you play..

Also I hate when people use MGR as Platinums staple hack and slash when Automata and Bayonetta seem to hold more variety and higher learning curve.

Also on top of that Platinum seem to hate aerial combat. I hate how you constantly feel like you are sinking down mid combo in all their games whilst in the air.

On the cuhrazy scale, they're at about a Crazy/Smokin' Sick Style. Too many cinematic kills taking direct control away from the player for the sake of brutality.
