I don't understand the "bookfags". In the books Yennefer is a shit slut. Worse than in game, actually. Triss do some kind of manipulation and other shit IN HER EARLY 20. Then she grow up. Also Triss is the "best friend" that tries to get with your lover. To clarify, Yen and Triss were best friends. Triss had the hots for Geralt. Geralt and Yen got in a fight one night and Triss swooped in and seduced him with magic, which caused the longest break up between Geralt and Yen. During this time Triss desperately tries to throw herself at Geralt, but he still loves Yen and sees Triss as nothing more than a friend. Eventually Geralt and Yen get back together, thanks to Ciri. Fast forward to games and Yen and Geralt are separated and have amnesia. First thing Triss does is throw herself at Geralt. What a "best friend" huh?

Not to mention Triss betrays Geralt and Ciri a few times in the books. Not saying she doesn't have a few moments to make up for it, but she's no angel.

And one more thing, Geralt cheated on Yen much more recently in the books though there was a reason for it. Basically the last time Yen cheated would be about 20+ years ago, with the sorcerer I mentioned. Both slept around during the split, but I don't really call that cheating since they were apart.

part of the problem in witcher 3 is that you don't meet yen and triss at the same time so forming an opinion is very difficult on the first playthrough. i decided i will go with yen before i even owned the game because i wanted something different and i found her more attractive. i felt like a piss of shit when i turned triss down at novigrad and even more when i got to skelliege and got a cold shower from yen
