Honestly I kinda agree with this. None of the antagonists are as hate-able as Kamoshida. They either do most of their evil off-screen (Madarame, Kaneshiro, Okumura) or are too cartoonishly evil because they're involved in the supernatural elements (Goro and Shido). Kamoshida was an absolute fucking scumbag, had no problem directly fucking with you, AND his real self had no involvement whatsoever with the Metaverse. He was just a grade-A completely human-level asshole free of any supernatural tampering.

Plus, his confession scene is far and away the best with how personal it is and how it occurs in full right in front of you. Madarame just gets a brief news clip, Kaneshiro does his fucking off-screen, and Okumura and Shido both get cut off in the middle of it, with Shido's being the ultimate cockblock.

That part was great, but the ending cutscene as a whole just felt like it had no impact on me. Honestly I kind of preferred the ending I came up with when I got the game spoiled for me, where you die in the end. Feels like it would fit the game more than another happy retread of P4s ending

Nah, coming hot off of 4, everything in 5 is extremely dragged out for longer than it ought to. They didn't know how to keep the message to the point so they just went out of their way to add nonstop exposition and big bad speeches and messages of hope and friendship. P4 was similar in this but it didn't keep dragging out, and P3 was genuinely fucking soul crushing near the end with how much shit that team has to go through. If you thought the team of 5 went through some shit, you will definitely need to play 3.

This was a throwback to SMTII and one of the best parts of the game. Running through a distorted Tokyo with Life Will Change playing defeating the Archangels, how do you not like that?

I actually do agree, the end as a whole of 5 felt like a retread of 4 in a lot of ways especially with the whole Tokyo and Mementos fusing like the TV World and Inaba fusing. I think 4 did it a lot better though and the credit song was better in 4.

Oh yeah, it was fine in 3 and 4 because the image of the protagonists were more of a plain neutral kinda guy. But all the art and promotion material for P5 makes it look like hes some smug punk but in game, especially in the awkward as fuck cutscenes, hes just walked all over and is silent.
