What if this ends up getting good reviews?
>>
>>376145984
Very unlikely to happen, it will be another mediocre game with waifus
AND GUNS
>>
>>376146335
What more does it need to get good reviews?
>>
>>376146668
It's not CoD, not a CoD-knockoff, and not a Nintendo hit like Splatoon. Of course they are going to give it bad reviews. There's nobody to upset.

I've also heard it's mediocre at best. It really doesn't use the whole flying/water charge mechanics for too much, so you're just playing a standard multiplayer FPS/TPS with dashing and a weaker melee hit. The collection cards apparently don't add much, either.
>>
>>376147121
That sucks, was hoping it would be decent.
>>
What Kagura game isn't mediocre? I seriously wish they would just make an amine series and stop wasting time on games as they seemingly cannot make a good one.
>>
>>376146668
Good gameplay. It won't be awful but like most kagura games it's gonna be mediocre and sell because of titty ninjas.
>>
>>376148134
they should just make porn
>>
>>376148134
Didnt they already make an anime tho
>>
>>376148251
Nah, the characters are too lovable and interesting for a shit tier porn series.
>>
>>376148134
>>376148251
>>376148219
This. Seriously, it's just a meme game, pretty much anyone here can confirm that, hence why no one ever talks about the gameplay when threads about the series happen.
>>
>>376145984
even if it ends up a good game it won't get good reviews
>>
>>376148134
>>376148313
They did made an anime.
If you don't thing Deep Crimson is good you may have brain tumor.
>>
>>376148313
A movie and a 12 episode series that led nowhere. It's a crime that these characters are stuck in mediocre games, I really like them and want to see them go on silly adventures, nothing too serious. OR They can buckle the fuck down and make a 2D Fighting Game or a Cooking Game like Order Up.

>Reminder that a budget anime waifu ecchi game has more interesting and fresh TPS mechanics than something like Uncharted which is an AAA million dollar budget mega series
>Reminder that the new $40 dollar Uncharted DLC will get perfect scores just because it is a SUPER CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE WITH THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD even thought it has barely decent TPS gameplay
>>
>>376148482
Deep Crimson is worse than Burst
>>
>>376145984
Never going to happen. The west is too cucked to like anything that has big anime tities.
>>
>>376149050
Why do people demonize tits?
>>
>>376148718
Uncharted isn't designed to be a TPS. It's designed to be a story narrative game about a character. That's why they could completely change how the game mechanics worked between games (and between the original and the HD remake) and basically nobody commented on it. The point of the game is the presentation of the story.

Peach Beach Splash isn't pretending like people are playing for the story, so they want to focus on making the gameplay fun. Because of course people will care if the gameplay is fun.
>>
>>376149260

Because this country is backwards as fuck even though we think we're the greatest thing since sliced bread.
>>
>>376148740

Nah.

DC > Burst > EV > SV
>>
>>376149604
You forgot BA
>>
>>376149667

I was considering the action games but where BA sits really depends on the aspect at play. In terms of gameplay it's the worst as it's not even that great of a rhythm game but I would say the character interactions are better than the Versus games so really depends.
>>
>>376148482

Deep Crimson was a step in the right direction but a lot of the things they introduced were really half-assed and overall it still didn't wind up being much better than just "ok". It's the most playable one in the series, yeah, but that's not saying a whole lot.

Even the Versus games could have been good with the right tweaking in certain areas, but for some reason the devs keep missing that sweet spot to put the games over the edge.
>>
>>376145984
I doubt it as most reviewers are SJW retards these days. Sure Niche Gamer will probably give it a good score. Regardless, it would be nice if it was reviewed fairly.
>>
>>376150171

Take SV's smooth, speedy gameplay and combine it with EV's level design and sense of difficulty and you'd be on to something. SV played alright but was braindead easy and EV had some great ideas but tweaked the mechanics to balance multiplayer for some godforsaken reason and fucked SV's core base in the process.

Could someone explain Senran Kagura to me?

I had one of the games on Vita and played it for a few hours but haven't been back since. The gameplay is too vapid and it was weird thinking that the only thing holding me there was nudity that I knew would never come.

Surely you could just go to Sadpanda then come back and play a more in-depth hack-and-slash or ARPG or something, right?
>>
>>376150876
Deep Crimson for 3ds has the best gameplay in the series and actual decent story though not great
>>
>>376145984
>DUDE SPLATOON BUT FOR VIRGINS LMAO
Yeah, definitely gonna take reviewers by storm
>>
>>376150876

Part of the appeal is the characterization and interactions, at least insofar as the 3DS games. Most fans of this series legitimately like the characters but the Versus games have a bad habit of really flanderizing them. The gameplay is merely adequate on a good day, sure, but it's not like it's broken either so fuck it, it's a decent enough time killer and you get to see some tiddies and clothes tearing in the process. Eh.
>>
>>376148134
The first one, apparently
>>
Guys, you aren't supposed to be having actual discussion in Senran threads. Someone start the New Wave dump.
>>
>>376151364

In the sense that it's maybe a loose 6/10. The story is servicable shonen fare and the beat-em-up gameplay works as intended I guess. DC is better in that it's more ambitious but even in its peak moments the series might scratch an isolated 7/10 instance here and there.
>>
>>376151364

The only really bad thing about Burst was the frame rate. Aside from that I honestly felt it struck the best balance between gameplay and story in the series. It was the most simple, but missions were the right length so it never started to feel too repetitive.
>>
>>376151640

True. I'd love to see a remake of Burst in the SK2 engine personally.
>>
Its SK. Most websites refuse to acknowledge the franchise's existence.
>>
>>376145984
Unless the reviews come straight from the reviewers dicks then I don't expect much.
Also I'm pretty sure every female reviewer give Senran games shitty scores out of principle
>>
>>376151760
They'd probably put Yumi in it.
>>
>>376151806
Why are people incapable of reviewing games fairly and with an open mind?
>>
>>376151946
They aren't getting paid to be fair.

They get paid to write whatever it takes for their site to get more views.
>>
>>376151806

I wouldn't be surprised if SK actually had a considerable female audience. At the end of the day, you're playing as a set of powerful women with endearing character traits. The sexualization is one thing I suppose but there's some decent female characters here.
>>
>>376151946
>Why are people incapable of not being critical of games I like?
FTFY
>>
>>376151827

That would make no sense. I mean, financially speaking I get it but Yumi isn't even part of that side of the canon.

>fanservice game
>good reviews
It doesn't mean the game is bad, but you're living in a fantasy world if you think any "journalist" says anything positive about a SK game.
>reviewing a fapping game on it's gameplay mechanics and completely ignoring the fappability of a fapping game even though that is basically what you're supposed to be rating the game on
It's like rating a FPS game as if it where an and complaining about the lack of dungeons and loot and how it's not an MMO.
It's actually makes me laugh out loud watching "journalists" take these games seriously.

Rondo Duo is one of the best "game"s of all tiem.
>>
>>376152087
"this game has boobs and is full of mysoggyknees" is not a fair criticism.
>>
>>376152061
I know a fair number of women who would find the gratuitous jiggle and raunchy situations part of the charm. Nothing wrong with a little sex comedy now and again.
>>
>>376152148
That wouldn't stop them.
>>
>>376152376
>>376151827

Just like they put Yumi in DC, right?
>>
>>376152417
DC was already a lost cause the second it came out.

If they ever remaster or remake it, expect Yumi's inclusion some how.
>>
>>376152343
Pretty sure people were complaining about sexualizing a bunch of 15 year olds. Also doesn't help that Tom "Actually, the correct term is 'ephebophile'" Lipshultz did an awful job to justify keeping the ages for its localization.
>>
>>376152635

Lack of Yumi was only one factor in the case of DC. SV had the advantage of piggybacking off the exposure of the anime and was on a Sony platform, where this kind of game is more likely to find a reliable audience. No Yumi was a factor but it wasn't THE end all, be all factor it's made out to be either.
>>
Why buy these games when you can just watch porn?
>>
>>376152992

>DC would have sold better if it had Yumi in it

I'm not attacking you personally, but people with this line of thought are genuinely assblasted. The main thing Japs complained about regarding DC, not counting the "difficulty", was actually the fact that Kagura and Naraku weren't playable despite them being introduced as important characters and being able to unlock their models in the dressing room. On that note, Murasame was actually received pretty well.

DC didn't even sell that badly. People act like it was a flop because it didn't reach SV numbers, but no other game in the series has yet to match SV yet. Because as you said, the stars just happened to align at the right time to boost the hype around it. Anime as out, Vita as a handheld still had potential, and the series was in full swing of its popularity at the time. If they would have went with another 3DS game at the same time it would have sold just as well.
>>
>>376149295
>It's designed to be a story narrative game about a character.
You mean it's a hollywood rejected script that got made into a boring game with boring repetitive gameplay?
I swear to God that Naughty Dog is one of the most overrated devs of all time.
>>
>>376153476

>not counting the "difficulty"

Oh yeah, there's also that - Japan got salty as fuck over pre-patch Yomi. That definitely didn't help but it didn't impact Western sales either since it was patched by the time it got here.
>>
>>376145984
>no ps vita release

0/10
>>
>>376153653

Naughty Dog used to be worth a damn in the PS1/2 days. Now, they're getting their dick sucked over their award-winning narratives and thinking that they're above the shit that made them household names in the first fucking place. They're a lost cause now.
>>
>>376146668
To be a good game.
>>
>>376153667

As someone who imported the Jap version and played before the patch, I could kind of see where they were coming from. It's not like they nerfed the AI or anything. All they did was lower the damage values. Pre-patch she was more of a gorilla and could kill you in about 2-3 good hits. And since her moves had super armor on them it wasn't safe to even attempt to combo her so the whole fight was basically a hit and run. Yeah, "git gud" and all that, but for a tutorial stage I could see how people would get annoyed by that.

Though if you just timed Ikaruga's charged triangle attack right you could keep her locked in a loop the entire fight and slowly whittle her down.
>>
>>376154209

I like to believe that Yomi wrecked so hard in SK2 that she got nerfed to uselessness in EV. I mean holy fuck, is Yomi bad in EV.
