Pretty fun but starts to get a little boring towards the end because all the enemies are the same and the bossing are kinda lame.

Pisspoor animations ruined it honestly.

It was okay. The combat was fast and fun, easily the best part of the game.
The story's something that's been done to death and the execution was awful. The areas didn't stand out much even though they looked beautiful every now and then. And worst of all, the enemy variety falls off drastically around the midpoint and it turns the whole second half into an absolute drag.
A sequel that fixes these problems while refining the combat further would be great.

Loved it. If we're comparing it to Dark Souls, not as good as 1, better than 2 and 3. The modest level design was made up for by the spectacular backdrops and set pieces.

Pretty repetitive and uninspired souls clone. Same enemies and bosses over and over, horrible MMO loot system, no replayability, pvp is good awful, enviroments and atompshere were uninteresting, barely had a story and unlike souls had no interesting lore. Combat was just souls with the stance change mechanic, not really anything special.

Except I can and the fact that these cheap bullshit builds are allowed in PVP is what makes it so garbage. Every fight ends in 5 seconds but it takes 10 minutes to find a match. Is like they looked at how awful Dark Souls pvp was and challenged themselves to make it worse.

pretty much this. but i think its worth noting that even with these criticisms, its a great game. 7-8/10 depending on your personal preference regarding its design choices.

i reallllly hope the sequel does something to address the samey-ness. and while it would be a huge departure, dumping the diablo style loot system might be for the better. - i liked it, but i think id like fewer, but more fleshed out weapons.

if you have a ps4 and youre interested, grab it. dont let the drawbacks keep you from enjoying the rest of it.
