Druid and Necromancer were the easiest to play solo in Hell from what I remember.

Druid's Hurricane does cold damage and Tornado does physical, enough to kill most enemies, while the bear and Cyclone Armor greatly help with staying alive in general.

Necro's Amplify Damage reduces physical resistance by 100% so skeletons are still able to kill almost everything, and corpse explosion is something like 50% fire, 50% physical damage.

Hybrid zon is actually amazing. You spec into both the lighting javelin tree and freezing arrow. It can do all content on single player life. And with actual gear can reliably do 8player life.

Plus it's super fun swapping between the ice and lightning elements.

I really like D1, especially the single player. Due to item generation it had a different vibe, especially if you just did a single game. Diablo 2 concentrated so much on loot and grinding to hopefully get good loot were as Diablo 1 you just had to make due with what you found and even juggle items that help your current situation.

Not only that due to the fact that there were no set or rare item categories in Diablo 1 it meant that every single time a blue item dropped you did want to pick it up because there was a potential upgrade with that item unlike Diablo 2 in which you just don't touch most of the items that drop because they don't even have the right sort of magical rarity and to the point that there isn't a point to pick them up because they aren't socketed for the more powerful rune words.

Best necro build from my experience:

Max out corpse explosion.
Max out summon skelleton, mage and skeleton mastery.
At least one point into clay golem.
One point into every curse except the 3 useless ones on the left of the tree.
Spread whatever else you want into shit like summon resist.
Hire an act 2 merc with might.

Get your merc to kill shit and grow your army. Amplify damage is youe goto curse here: doubles physical damage. Great for skellies, merc and half of corpse explosion damage. You may think it's counter productive to explode potential skeletons, but with max points and a few +skill items, you'll be killing shit off screen. It's great. Clay golem + decrepify is your curse of choice for bosses. Cold skellie mages + clay golem + decrepify means your opponent is more than likely too slow to attack. You'll interupt every attack. Decrepify only grants 50% increased damage and rarely breaks physical immunity, so amp is better outside bosses. Soloing Baal in hell with that technique took a while, but I never lost a single skeleton. Baal was simply too slow to attack.

I don't know about that. Having a high frequency hasn't worked well for me in the past. So far I found that I do best when I work really hard on one day and then recover for 4-6 days after.

That's what I read pretty much everywhere, but it's what gives me consistent gains. When I workout more frequently, it seems to be random whether I grow or not. Sometimes I'll be doing better on my next workout, sometimes I'll stagnate, and sometimes I'll outright do worse. If I work really hard and then recover for a while, it's guaranteed improvement.

Conversion isn't all that bad. If you want stupid meme skills, this is it. Nothing is more useless than this. I can think of a niche use for every skill in the game besides this useless piece of shit. It makes me mad just seeing its stupid skill icon. I've played hundreds of mods, and not in a single one of them did I find a use for this skill. Every other skill there is at least something special about it, something that could make it of some use in the most specialized of circumstances. It doesn't even matter at what point you get this skill, it would be just as useless if you got it at level 1 for free. You could have it at level 127 at character level 1 and it'd still be fucking trash, because it only gets more duration. Most people probably can't even guess what skill this is without looking it up.

Dim vision is ok, if only for that reason I guess. Honestly, I used enigma armor so it was never really an issue. When you teleport and all your minions teleport with you, you're somewhat immune to damage for a sec. I guess with everything all piled on top of you, you can't be hit.

Alkor is the worst NPC in the game. He will randomly block the doorway, and if it happens just right you will be permanently blocked. You have to completely reset the game. I've literally lost hours of progress because of Alkor.

I think they fixed that later on. I think before the game thought if the enemy hurt themselves on the golem through Iron Maiden it counted as the golem attacking the enemy thus they got their life back.

I have a paladin with dragonheart and hammerstrike spam, level 30 with shadow summons hits like a truck for AOE poison damage, pretty early though.
Anyone got any advice for me? Im in act 3 and i got instakilled by a haemoplague.
