i know season two gets a lot of shit and i know it has a good set of issues compared to season one but i still totally loved it and got really invested in the cabin group

after watching other playthroughs on youtube, conrad is actually pretty damn cool too. but i let my clem guardianship overtake me in ep2 and shot him, so that's another character wasted for me. my own fault but still.

Gabe is a new character and also some punk kid who wants to be a hero all the time and is angsty and moody as fuck.

Clem and Gabe are a soon-to-be canon couple and /v/ is up in arms about some punk kid being with their daughterfu. Javi is sort of thrown in there because he's the player character, but doesn't have a paternal relationship with Clem.

I actually really fucking liked Mariana, but that sweet moment literally a second before she died, I knew she was gonna get shot, and I got pissed as fuck. Fuck Telltale for leaving me with some dumb cheating cunt looking for a beta to eat up, and David's retarded son. The only family member I even give a shit about at this point is my brother David.

The problem with ANF is that they don't give anyone in the cast enough time to care about them. They had a good chance in the first 2 episodes with the family and the Prescott group, but they immediately threw us in the center of an internal battle with David's group by the end of the first episode. That ended up splitting the cast up and sort of giving us less quality time with the main cast, by throwing us into different situations with different people.

It's almost like they wrote it to make you want to pick Kate over your own brother.

Besides some cameos you are playing with new characters that you don't have strong feelings for, killing the tension. you can see this as almost everyone sided with clem when she was part of the choices.

Also the story on this third one was pretty generic:

Jane was pretty cold and only cared for herself, her only reason to return was because she saw Clem as a her past self as Clem still trusted people and made an effort into saving someone who didn't want to be saved just like her.

Also when she tries to convince you that Kenny is a bad person, that would only work if you had only meet Kenny recently, as Kenny said on the first game: he is always and the only one making the hard choices that no one wants to make:

Or you could have lost faith in Kenny and think that he was finally at the end of his rope, killing him and ending with Clem alone.

Its because Javis perspective sucks fat cock, I never gave a shit about any of the new characters or the asspull that riddled all the episodes. 5he only person I cared to define directly was Clementine and we got fuck all of her, while at the same time the few moments we did get with her felt shallow and poorly executed. If it flipped perspectives or you got to choose to play either as Javi or Clem through the same story making relatively the same decisions then I think it would have sold better, but no one wants to see their daughter grow up to be a retard that you cant control anymore hanging out with a group of retards whom she knows will fail. Or maybe she has an inner monolouge where you hear that she knows the group will fail but cont. any way. No one asked or wanted a new 2nd person perspective on a character they loved and used to define. This isnt even mentioning all the narrative and pacing issues but hey those have been in every Telltale title so yeah its just kinda shit becuase it dosent tell the story of our girl Clem.

I'll give you most of the flaws though. I think the pregnancy replacement was intentional for Clems story of loss though as they were both introduced in the first episode. I actually really enjoyed Carver. I like to think he was just some dad and based his actions off his kids Saturday morning cartoon and bond villain personalities

Honestly, I give way more of a shit about the new cast than I do about most of the people from season 2. At least by flashing back and making us play as Javi we have a reason to give a shit about them. Season 2 introduced us to a bunch of dumb assholes who locked us in a shed when we were badly injured then expected us to care as they slowly died off.

I always just took it as the beaner doctor was in charge and made the final decision to put you in his cuck shed. Both Pete and Luke argue for you to be let in or at the very least helped. Pete died way too soon agreed. Luke was tolerable during just him and Clem scenes but sucked with other characters. I felt season 2s central theme was about trust and the first few episodes captured it well.
