Well, since these threads seem to be getting traction again for better or worse, I might as well make an infodump.

Well, other than the fact that the thirst is real; there is some bits and pieces of information that suggests that a new DMC might potentially be in development. "Devil May Cry Series" appeared on Capcom's official work pipeline back in 2015, it gets namedropped at the very end, and the pipeline ends March 31 2018 (fiscal year end). This is by far the biggest one.

Other than that it's mostly smaller stuff. The actor for Vergil fucking up and saying "They're bringing us back! We can say that right?" during a DMC panel back in 2015. Dante's VA goes on to damage control. DMC4SE also had the words "See you next Devil May Cry!" when you finish Lady&Trish's campaign. The director has also worded himself in some interesting ways in DMC4SE interviews. Saying that DMC4SE is "proof" DMC is not over, and that he's sorry that people didn't get and E3 announcement "this year". There's also the fact that Capcom now has a 2.5 year development schedule for their new games, and a DMC5 would match this perfectly between the timespan of DMC4SE's release and the start of 2018. Also the co-developers, Access Games (Of Deadly Premoniton fame) has announced nothing since DMC4SE was finished. Capcom also said that they plan on bringing back "other dormant franchises" when Marvel VS Capcom Infinite was announced, as well as "Utilizing popular Capcom characters to increase profits" aka tons of merc and DLC. Nolan North also made a DMC joke on Twitter for some reason, despite being a self-proclaimed "Knows nothing about video games, just acts in them."

Found the Black autist. That's literally the gayest shit I've ever heard. By Razor's Edge all the female characters are on par with Ryu in how fun they are to play and depth as well as each having their own quirks. And they were always good to begin with, they just needed to be fleshed out a bit more. There's also the fact that Dante's emotional state in the game could be said to relate to the gameplay of the instalment

People actually change weapons mid level? I just pick the one i feel like playing as and use it through out all of the chapter. To play it on PC with competent controls, you need to do quite a bit of shit to get it working. Get XInput/DInput stuff for your controller and getting the style switcher mod. Its pretty much a necessity to get the style switcher mod because the game's controls and optimizing are so terrible without it, and it just gives a lot of options to DMC3 in general.
