Touhou. Despite being hard, it is pretty fun to play casually, especially when drunk. I find that actually I do better with a small amount of alcohol (probably because I don't panic as much), but that reaches a peak and after that you're doing the touhou equivalent of flying down a 30 zone at 70 bouncing off every car along the way.

They moneybag shit is not where the "artificial difficulty" comes into play.

Honestly, it's not even the gameplay, either. With very few exceptions, because of your slower movement speed, you'll always see threats well before you have to react to them, so it's just a question of reacting correctly.

The real problem is just that you have to play through the game two fucking times

Pretty much this. If you know what's coming and where to find chests then the game isn't too difficult.

That being said, fighting the second to last boss with that fucking bracelet is unbelievably hard. Probably took me nearly two weeks of playing everyday to beat him, and I can sometimes get all the way there on one credit.
