>you were born too early
>you will never live in a space colony
Three choices, /v/.
Space Colony Ship
Underwater City
City in the Sky
>you will never get to se the universe reach full entropy and become a gigantic black void with nothing in it
But you were born early enough to fight in the RACE WAR!
>>376115697
Nah, i'm very lazy.
Have fun tho.
>>376115640
>City in the Sky
actually I prefer this
Yeah, I don't think Dead Space is a good example to use.
>you were born in a time where you don't realistically have to struggle for survival, have phones, video games and all forms of entertainment at your disposal. water and food, comfort and the amenities of the first world but you still bitch because it's human nature to never be satisfied - and to have limiters on our pleasure
unrelated but did you know romero wanted to do a dead space movie? it'd be amazing if he was still The Thing romero and not hack cheesy action DOOM ripoff romero
>>376115321
Earth is in space so we are actually living in a space colony right now
>>376115321
We already live in a space colony. Where do you think Earth is you stupid fuck?
>>376115640
Space Colony. The other 2 are fucking pointless unless we're talking about some kind of high end retirement homes.
>>376115640
Space Colony Ship.
>>376115640
Does the space colony ship have hot alien girls?
>>376115835
After Land of the Dead, Romero is running low on brownie points.
>>376115640
Underwater City, assuming this is some far-flung fantasy/sci-fi hybrid city.
City in the Sky would be a clear second choice.
Space Colony Ship would be boring. There's nothing in space. That's why it's called space.
>>376115835
I thought John Carpenter did The Thing.
>be me
>on Earth in the year 2k17 anno domini
>just want all life and the potential for life to end
>even if a false vacuum metastability event had already happened in some far corner of the universe it would potentially never reach Earth thanks to the expanding space meme
Fuck this gay existence
>you were born
>>376115640
Which would kill me faster? Somehow managing to make it out on the ocean floor or jumping off the flying city?
We all know some shit is going down and I'm not becoming a fucking splicer or getting my guts drilled through by a big daddy.
>>376115738
Nobody will ask if you want to participate in race war, anon.
One day Jamal will knock on your door and demand surrender of your food and chicken tendies.
And this, anon, this is when you will be presented with a choice. Do you fight Jamal and stab him with nearest sharp object, or do choose not to?
>>376116360
Probably the ocean floor because you'd just drown if the intense pressure doesn't kill you first. It depends how high up the flying city is from whatever is beneath it.
>>376115640
Space Colony Ship if there are cute and sexy ayylien waifus.
City in the Sky if space is fucking empty.
>>376115978
i get them mixed up not because im dumb but i have some sort of retard dyslexia
>>376116628
Nah, you ain't dumb. No one that likes The Thing can be dumb.
>>376115321
>you were born just in time to defend the whole race to invaders
Feels good, way better than usual war between brother-countries.
>>376116449
>jump off the flying city
>land in the ocean
>die
>wake up in underwater city as a big daddy
I want off this ride anon.
>>376116424
there's really no point in fighting jamal. he was already condemned to death the day he was born, same as all of us. he is accomplishing nothing by taking my chicken and I accomplish nothing by stopping him. let the fools wallow in their folly
>>376116424
Then I won't answer to the door.
>born too late to explore the earth
>born too early to explore space
Why hath God forsaken thou?
>>376117190
EXPLORE THE OCEAN FLOOR YOU COWARD.
>>376116360
Don't fuck with the Big Daddies and don't splice too much and you'll be fine. Might want to visit a few Power to the People stations to defend yourself, though.
>>376117230
No way. There may be no nightmarish interdimensional horrors down there, but there's still a lot of uncharted territory and the potential to be eaten by a giant deep-living life form.
I hope our near future will at least bring in some cool cyberpunk shit. Thats what I want.
Doesn't matter when you were born, you will complain about not being part of another time
>you were born too late. You will never experienced an earth with plants and clean atmosphere. With seas and lakes and animals
>>376115321
>he wants space colonies
>forgetting that a space colony shoah'd millions of poor innocent Australians because of filthy Zeek scum
>>376115321
>you were born
>>376115321
You were born in the Only period in human history that is/will be without exploration.
>>376117414
>I want to explore
>but not where its actually uncharted
>>376117838
In his defense we've been in space and haven't really found shit yet.
We don't know if Cthulhu is actually at the bottom of the sea
>>376118000
Cthulu might be at the bottom of europa or slightly beneath the clouds of Jupiter tooNice digits
>>376117230
>>376117351 <-- Isn't me
But I agree since we've explored space more than the ocean floor
Plus the ocean floor is boring as shit, it's just incredibly dark floor where you would die of pressure and if you managed to live some weird sea creature we don't know about will come over and eat you
>>376118000
who care's if there is nothing you could have a spaceship
>>376118040
Fair enough.
I wasted my trips defending the cowardly exploration anon.
>>376117838
>>376118259
The funny thing is, exploration anon has yet to answer. I was another anon all along!
>>376115640
city in sky, underwater spooks me too much.
>>376118252
>get your first space ship
>look at the side
>USG ishimura
I should just stop shitting this thread up and go make a monkey paw thread. Goodbye anons
>>376118440
you get to be one with everyone on the ship it's not so bad
>>376118440
This is your time to be a man like Isaac Clarke. You want to show him you know how to party, don't you?
>>376115321
>born too early to explore space
>born too late to explore earth
>born right at a time that lets you simulate both
Meh.
>>376115640
Under ground colony city floating on a subterranean lake on an massive asteroid
>>376118592
>>376118504
>>376118440
>think it's your time to be the hero from dead space
>you're the bad guy from 3 whose name nobody can rememberi'm stealing your thunder monkey paw anon
>>376118852
I dont even hate dead space 3 that much, it would have been an okay game if it didn't have the burden of being a dead space game imo. But when you compare it to the other 2, holy fuck I don't know who pulled the trigger on that decision.
>>376115640
fucking space colony any day of the week
>>376116360
>was born too late to become a knight or a fight in the areana for your crimes
>was born too early to become a space faggot and colonizing planets and fucking aliens
>born just in the right time for memes
fuck
>>376122093
>areana
im fucking autistic
>You will never use a quick-hardening foam gun to sequence break real life.
>>376119330
>microtransactions in the crafting menu
>universal ammo
>no actual suit progression
>You will never see humanity create a Galactic Empire and rule 25 million worlds.
>be me
>anno 2357
>live in mars station MRSK-882
>everything is artificial
>dream of seeing a plant IRL
>Parents said we might visit our original planet for my birthday
>gets canceled because of dangerous winter
>tfw you were born too late
>you will never live in a house
You ca still explore the Earth, even if others have aleady seen it that doesn't mean you shouldn't try too as well, that kind of attitude will have you experiencing the world through Youtube. We live in a great time, better than the exploratory past, where it's easy as hell to get to other places. Back in the day very few people could actually explore the world, it was extremely dangerous, and there were months if not years of downtime where you're just traveling. Now you can get to any significant landmark in a day, you can still trek and travel sans vehicle if you really want to but there is so much to see and you don't have that many years to see it all.
