PS4 external drive recommendations

External drives tend to fail alot more no matter what the brand. My advice is to buy one from an office supply store, they tend to get good deals

Make sure you have the biggest internal possible and get any USB 3.0 compliant external drive. Personally, I only go with WD but seagates are alright too.
The real question is - Do you care if it needs to be externally powered?

If you really want a silent drive get SSD 240GB replace the stock and transfer your games to the SSD.

I bought the 1tb and it's silent. Not perfectly silent like some samsung models but pretty god.

Be careful of Toshiba drives that comes with PS4 Slim they are loud as fuck
