I'm a lore fag, but I can't bear games with absolutely shit gameplay, even if it's story is amazing.

second playthrough: loot and theorycraft

Overall it would be gameplay > story > loot, unless I play Diablo or some other Diablo clone/arpg - then loot as the driving force for building your character is equal to gameplay, and story becomes secondary (and I still remember the horror of vanilla Diablo 3 with all the unskipable quests and cutscenes every time you wanted to just grind certain areas, not to mention the story being simply insulting to the fans of the series).

i like to play them through once to learn the rule set and how the stats are applied
then again in a "perfect" run where i make decisions based on the rewards received and attempt to max the stats of my characters in the most efficient manner as well as collect all of the best items
