Should I play DQH I before DQH II?

2 improves on literally everything 1 introduced while adding so much more. It has more variety in the first 2 hours than 1 does in its entirety. There's really no reason to play 1 at all unless you can't afford 2 for whatever reason.

Nothing of value was lost unless you really like Bianca or Psaro

2 is superior in everything and doesn't actually have broken combo like MP recovery on crit you can spam all game (still available in NG+ custom weapon but its endgame stuff)

pretty much the same, but has dragon quest characters and monsers, the story is prety DQ-ish with plenty of cheesy dialogue and Doric is the king of ham

the monsters you summon are going to be bait 90% of the time so mobs or bosses are kept busy while you rekt the shit out of them, either because they are too strong to face head on, or to stop them from reaching or destroying points of interest on the map
at firts it feels challenging, but later you'll just deploy them then just spam the heck out of your special moves. it's just an extra step before mashing buttons like every other musou
but the game is fine, really. I just liked it mostly for Terry, Jessica's boobs and the music
