I am anon, I wish I could play scary and even horror games but I nope out extremely fast.
DDDA is definitely not that though, maybe the first time you try and fight the two ogres around the Chapel forest but its not that bad. You can pause the game if you get surprised and heal up, even equip explosive shots and obiliterate anything against you.

There's nothing i'd even remotely consider scary in Dragon's Dogma. Everything is presented to be grandoise and magical. There's not even any (giant) insect enemies for shits sake Unlike y'know,Skyrim. Fuck those huge ass Spider enemies.

I didn't get very far in DD but I can't imagine anything in it being particularly scary though.

I love that shit anyway, I'm always trying to find a new horror game that actually gets to me. My friend thinks it's weird that I liked to sit in the dark on my own, smoke lots of weed and play/watch spooky shit. I love it.

Usually the first type of mod I install is something that makes night time really dark. DD was nice enough to have it as the default.
