I haven't ever played much. I logged on today and there was no one in any public room

You're about 17 years too late for that, my friend.
It's dead.
I think Diablo 2 still has some players though

The fuck is that screenshot supposed to be?

it's fun to play through on your own..takes me 8 or 10 hours. if you play on a ps1 rom 2 players could be fun
Blizzard doesn't support or even sell Diablo 1. Probably because it wasn't made by them so they have to ignore the superior game.
>>376097863
In what way is Daiblo superior?
>>376097960
it probably won't hold your attention as long as diablo 2 but it is a great game in its own right. simple but very good at what it does

eh.. did they ever fix duping? I mean im pretty sure you can find a old/original patch version where you can dupe. With that in mind, no reason to play online with people and I think D1 is superior when played alone anyway. I havent played d1 since like 04 or something but i remember everyone duped back then and i preferred solo a lot more due to that. You dont need to dupe or need any help with D1, difficulty is perfect imo. D2 is the opposite where playing with others is far superior and game feels like you need to grind a ton more to get that awesome set etc.
d2 is packed with people, at least ~200 people on at any given time of day, any day of the week, more if ya ain't mind playing on a slightly laggy eu server.
d1 is dead as dead gets though, I play through every now and then but unlike d2, I find d1 mods better than the vanilla experience.

Not the guy, but I like Diablo because of some of the roguelike features that were still left in it after transitioning from turn based to real time and no permadeath. Such as the randomization of skills and items

It was a better dungeon crawler and wasn't just about muh loot. Also enemies felt more dangerous and less trash mobby.

Thanks.
I was iust a wee boy when I secretly launched Diablo on my dad's computer. I got to the Butcher and quit because I was scared.
Didn't play it since then and kinda forgot how it actually is like.

Blizzard never fixed it. They've been using the same tired old "guys bug fixing is so difficult and complex you just don't understand lol!" Line to cover their incompetence for over a decade now.
