I'm even a little salty that Kingdom Hearts 3 was being advertised through the entire PS3 cycle (The Last Guardy also, I GET that it's not SOA/SOEU/SOJ's fault, they're Squeenix fault) . At least VR is something viable, as opposed to project Natal, which not only fucking bombed, but it resulted in their consoles being so unnecessarily expensive that they lost ground to Sony. Then there was that time they spent half their fucking press conference on the console's capacity to hook up to a TV tuner so you could watch TV while you play games.

I think its a good thing personally.

I have NO idea how the new one is gonna play but after 3 mainline games and several spin offs I'm pretty tired of GoW's formula, like with 3 I played it but was just fine with it, enjoyed it but was just going through the motions, picked up acsension to try the multiplayer but never really played the campaign and didn't finish the psp game either.
I'm pretty interested in seeing a Kratos that isn't turned to 11 RAGE constantly.

Like I said, not sure how the game will turn out but I'm interested, especially with all the little easter eggs in the gameplay.

It's marketing that people pay for to see live while companies realize they can get lazier and lazier with their announcements/reveals and still get palpable amounts of excitement. this year they won't be able to do that and they'll have to be at the top of their game as they finally have some relevant competition from the 2 other companies. nintendo will ride the handheld wave and microsoft will ride the 4k gaming wave, and these are very good marketing points whether anyone likes it or not.
