By taking a break and occasionally doing other things so I don't become jaded over video games.

Helps that I actually enjoy things instead of just looking for things to bitch about on an anonymous image board.

I'm the kind of person who is into tons of other things besides games, even casually. I've never really experienced "video game depression" or fatigue except when I've continually played the same games over and over.
Diversify anon. Even playing simpler games can help. Read a book or comic. Watch a movie. Create something. Etc. Don't get stuck.

Read a book, watch some of those movies you've been meaning to catch up on, learn to cook a couple recipes, yard work, walk the dog, go to a bar and have a drink and realize you hate it there, go to your local porn shop and put your penis through the hole in the wall in the arcade.

Like.. literally anything other then video games. That's all you gotta do. Just pretend vidya doesn't exist for a month that includes ignoring vidya related shit. /v/ or twitch or vidya on youtube and do anything else.

I entered a slump around the time of being ~19 where all the games I'd played, I had played to death

But then I bought a good computer and tons of games became available to me that weren't on my old shitbox, and even the old ones were a new experience with good graphics and refresh rate and low-delay peripherals. Years later I'm still enjoying games.

I don't like spending money or advocating for spending money, but having a good computer really does enhance the video game lyfe.

I started playing games I used to hate, puzzle games, RTS, cause I was ass at them, I was never a real "thinker" type of guy, i'm stupid. But I took the time to play them and now I enjoy the hell out of them. Also just take a break, stop playing games for aweek, you'll literally start to dream about them.

I just have Ashens' or TBFP's videos on loop while I play video games on the other monitor. Keeps me nice and neutral.
