Bloodlines does have continues, but it is limited. I never felt like I had any cheap deaths in it though. There were some tricky parts like in the munitions factory with the rotating platforms along with the skeletons that spun their weapons on the other platform and you had to jump to them.

Sword of Vermilion was three decent games in one but they conflicted with each other a great deal, watering the whole down a bit.

The top down perspective for towns and monster battles was the most fleshed out but boss battles, cool as they looked, removed a whole element of game play (magic) and introduced bobbing and weaving for literally just those fights. It was disjointed as fuck.

Then there's the first person segments which did not belong at all.

Those were also the SNES launch games. It was a dumb ad comparing a console with two years worry of library to one that must launched. It was a very good launch lineup though. Even though Final Fight is an awful port at the time I didn't care. No two player? No guy? Homos replacing poison? But the game looked the same as the arcade or at least I thought. Final Fight CD has looping red book CD audio. It actually would have been preferable to use the Genesis' synth since it wasn't far off from the arcade version's synth. Final Fight CD is a good port though. Extra stages, Guy, two player, an extra enemy on the screen compared to SNES, Poison. I would call it arcade perfect as you could get short of a Sharp X68000. Resolution was lower, some frames and background animations are missing, color palette is limited (but still makes good use of it) and there are less enemies on the screen compared to arcade but it's better than the SNES in every aspect other than color pallette
