It's a far more polished and overall more appealing game then wow in terms of basically everything. The visuals, audio, gameplay, and story are basically the best they can be for a game of this style (i.e. wow clone) and wow's glory days have long since gone. When an mmo hits the decade+ time span, it's time to let go.

And even though this point is now dated, it has one of the best recoveries ever made in a game going from 1.0 to 2.0. It's a miraculous feat that they deserve to be compensated for.

Just hit level 54 War, so I'm also fairly new.

My rule is use overpower/flash for as many mobs as you're pulling. So overpower 2/3 times if you're pulling 3 mobs. If you're pulling more than 4 mobs, overpower once to grab them all, then pop Maim, and any cool downs you might need to survive, and then just spam overpower. It's the most efficient damage/tp. Stop using overpower once you hit around 200 tp and just cycle through enemies using your normal skull sunder combo on any enemies that you're about to lose aggro to.

And definitely get flash from paladin, as well as provoke.
