Can videogames do romances right?
>>376072730
Literally nothing can do romance right.
>>376072730
Only if love can bloom on a battlefield
>>376072730
Only if a grumpy slav grandpa writes them beforehand.
>>376072810
Not even....real life.
OH MY GOD
>>376072730
romances are for women. videogame "romances" are just who do you get to fuck
>>376072730
It's actually easy. Just don't make them a dreamcouple in the first minute.
>>376072730
Dragon Age: Origins did a pretty solid job when it came to romances. Lately it seems like writers are creating characters and basing their personalities on the "end point" of their development, which means that most NPCs are as shallow as a bird pond, making romances unfulfilling during a playthrough.

Were Yen and Geralt good parents?
>>376073308
Of course
>>376073481
Then how did they lose Ciri so quickly?
>>376073610
You think they are gods and bend their world to their will?
>>376073692
No but I think losing your child in a dangerous world and not knowing were the fuck they are seen to be signs of shitty parents.
>>376073786
Wasn't Ciri already an adult when she disappeared?
Sure
yes
>>376073968
She left when about 17 years old. I wouldn't really call that an adult much less ready to be out by themself. Plus Ciri is kinda dumb because why the hell didn't she go straight to Kaer Morhen once in trouble?
>>376073786
The only time they "lost" Ciri was after the events at Thanedd island. Yen was compressed into a statuette by Francesca Findabair and Geralt got btfod by Vilgefortz. Ciri managed to escape through an unstable portal. From that moment on, they spend the remainder of the books looking for her.
The second time they were separated wasn't because they "lost" her, but because Ciri left them on the isle of Avalon after they nearly died in Riva.
>>376073101
Yeah, Origins romances were fine. Mentioning her ex after sex aside, Cassandra in Inquisition was fine too.
>>376074386
Aren't you thinking too modern-ly there though? In the past, people were considered adults by 14 or 15 years old. Besides which, she left because she was in trouble wasn't she? She even admits that coming back in Witcher 3 put everyone in danger but she couldn't help herself.
>>376073073
did yen molest ciri behind geralts back?
>>376073308
>>376073610
>>376073786
That's a loaded question. They would do anything for Ciri, but that doesn't mean that they don't make gigantic mistakes of their own that come back to bite others, including Ciri, in the ass.
>it's all right ... no more questions
>>376072810
Romance KINO coming through.
Planescape had good romances
>>376074708
they do it together
>>376074708
No but she was kind of raped by a lesbian.
Yen is best mom. There's no arguing about it.
>>376075676
and absolutely abysmal love interest/girlfriend/wife
>>376075750
According to the ending in BaW, Yen seems like the best mum, love interest and wife.
>>376075750
what is wrong with yen as a love interest
>>376075995
cheating without hesitance
>>376072730
When they exclude two bitchy, lying, manipulative sorceresses and instead focus on the kind, loving, and honest Shani instead, yes.
>>376076090
And forgiving with no hesitance as well. Because nobody is perfect. But you are a retarded Trissfag, so I'm wasting my words.
>>376076090
Need I remind you that Geralt spent like 3 months banging Vigo into oblivion several times a day all the while Yen was getting tortured and mind broken? This was after they got back together mind you.
>>376076108
is Shani the real best girl?
>>376072810
>>376075045
>>376076558
Oh hey I have that shot too.
>>376076108
>kind, loving, and honest Shani instead, yes.
>That chooses her work over you and leaves because patching up grunts for a country governed by a madman is more important than you will ever be.
Definitely not.
>>376077017
She doesn't choose that over being with Geralt out of principle. She only chooses not wanting to trudge around the world hunting monsters with Geralt. Makes me feel even worse since Geralt actually does get a chance to settle down in BaW and there's no option to let Shani know of this and have her stay with you.
>>376073308
Of course
>>376077295
>mfw you can't bring Shani
>>376077295
Shani dies of old age in Oxenfurt, as a retired medicine professor. That's why she is not coming with you to Toussaint.
The best
>>376072730
Anything is possible
>>376077913
Best romance coming through.
