What AoE2 actually needs to do is update the unit sprites so I can tell I'm fighting Ethiopians instead of Frankish knights with just a glance

Part of the appeal is seeing the different civilizations clash with each other, so when you have a battle and it's identical looking men at arms from every corner of the world it kind of kills it a bit, especially when compared to how unique their buildings look.

Huns getting identical looking buildings to Teutons is fucking stupid though
