The last few banners show they clearly know who's popular metawise, would it really be so hard to replace Tharshit with a strong character who'll still bring in orb money? Even without her, the female mage banner is fantastic.

I think I'm done with this once FGO comes out. There's pretty much nothing left for me to do. I finished all the story shit, have no interest in pvp or the grand hero battles. The skill inheritance was a cool idea until I realized I would have to grind 400 sp at 3 sp per kill for one level of a skill.

I spend my 150 orbs and new ones come in stupidly slow so there's no incentive for me anymore.

The point is, there are 2 roles that a green book can play--Green Nuker, and Green TA.
Nino is the best Green Nuker, no question.
But Cecilia does the Green TA job equally or better to Nino. That extra move is worth a lot more than you give it credit for, and she can fit into a cav team. If you're going to run a Green TA, Cecilia does the same or better with less investment(comes with Raven)

Her role is removing Reinhardt, from my experience using her. You don't want to run TA on Nino for multiple reasons (shit ton of better A skills for her niche, her role as a core nuker means she wants to go against WTA a lot of times), and she has lower res, which means that she will eat a lot of damage if trying to bulk Rein, and sometimes just flat out gets tapped right out. Cecilia starts with the Raven tome, so she's already in a better position for inheriting TA, and has enough attack to KO back (this is another perk over other Raven tome users like Robin, who fall short of a lot of OHKOs even with adept).

Along with her 3 movement to enter enemy range, that means you can effectively turn games with any blue mages or takumis into a 4 on 3 4 on 2 as early as turn one, and still retain healthy units. Half the time you'll even pick up a skill charge from the exchange to blow up something else.

Which is why I'm hesitant to really compare the two units, since their optimal roles aren't the same. Nino blows up shit with the help of a dancer and can clean up maps after desperation kicks in, Cecilia defuses dangerous opponents before they can interrupt your strategy. There's also the potential of turning her into a bladed nuke that puts Nino to shame with Cav buffs, but that's super niche.

She really wants those one shot kills, so her performance under 5 stars is really lacking. But she's a good team player if you give her the time of day.

There's still Cordelia, who has really competitive 35/35 offenses, so she can blow up most things with flight buffs and the built in brave weapon. Cherche has the second highest attack of all units but honestly she's kind of a meme, Minerva has a 16 MT Killer prf weapon.
Really, the main problem is that there aren't enough good prfs spread around the flier side. Caeda could have gotten the wing spear but instead they gave her a red sword and the body strength of a wet bagel

Fucking this, FGO has the most fucked up gatcha system. I quit playing some months back during the Valentines special. Spent 600 quarts to get Jack. Only got shitty vader saiba and a shit load of 3* and 4*.

The game has great combat and is actually really fun to play. But fuck the grindy as shit progression system and insane RNG on the gatcha.

There's no pvp but you can use other players servants. The progression system is one of the worst. Gold (5* rarity units) are a fucking nightmare to max out because of all the reagents you need + shitload of XP. Then there's tiers for Noble Phantasms and their abilities. Leveling up requires shitty XP cards, which btw get thrown into the gatcha roll. So basically you have two options when you roll for a banner. Option A) roll 3 gems for 1 card (pretty much guaranteed to be shit). Option B) Roll 30 gems for 10 cards with a guaranteed 4* or higher (except that also includes crafting cards and other non-hero cards).

Basically, it's very heavy on RNG even if you dump money into it. It's also extremely grindy nothing like FE Heroes. If people think 20k feathers is terrible OH BOY just wait until FGO is released.

On the brightside, the game is very story oriented. There's long campaigns with a lot of story content. The first 4-5 arcs are pretty shit but it gets real good after the London arc. Worth playing if you like Fateshit.

I actually got really lucky with FGO when I started playing back then, I got Jeanne, Jeanne Alter and Arturia, and a bunch of other 4*, but then the game became so badly optimized that my phone started crashing mid gameplay, and eventually mid menu usage, so I had to stop playing that shit.
