His life was actually pretty good all things considered. Had a great family, respected, loved, and is unkillable. Really the only shitty thing was Edward being such a dick. It's a hard life because he didn't blame anyone, but himself for his misfortune. Joshua didn't blame Caesar for burning him because it was his failure, and he realized all the horrors he committed while in the legion. He blames himself when Caesar sends Ulysses Cultural Apporiation Squad to wipe out his family.
