My problem with 3DS games like Hey Pikmin!, Miitopia, Mario Sports SuperStarts is that they don't justify he $40 price tag, these games should be $20 or $30 at least, Miitopia seems like the shit that i would probably play only 1 or 2 times and forget about it.

Monster hunter, pokemon, etrian odyssey and SMT are the things I sunk most of my time on. I spent an unholy amount of time on this console. The only game I felt bad even for pirating it was stella glow, and a game I would have never played without piracy and absolutely loved was legend of legacy. I think a new game from the same developers is coming out too, I hope it reaches the west because it was a blast.
I'm looking forward for the new FE, I liked fates even tho the 3 games split is super jewery that should never be forgiven and the plot is retarded, a shame because gameplay wise is one of the strongest titles in the series (at least on classic+lunatic, dunno if it's braindead easy on lower difficoulties).

In Gaiden, there is always a minimum of 1 damage taken. Many of your units will take little damage, but have smaller HP pools to make each bit of chip damage a stronger lasting effect that you can't ignore for too long. A tank can hold off enemies sufficiently, but he'll need to be healed in due time, or somebody else needs to take his spot in the front of the offense. Mages can fight from longer ranges safely, but consume HP as they do so, making them all the more vulnerable to archers so you'll have to decide if it's worth the gamble to have them use stronger spells to do more damage at the cost of having lower HP on the enemy turn, or stay safe and do less damage but run less risk of getting hit by arrows. And while situating this, your healer also has to spend HP to heal HP, so you're trying to ration that for the sake of survival. It's all a much more progressive flow of HP loss and ongoing pressure to you that makes you think about what to do with who and what parts of the map need more attention from certain units. This feels like a more natural form of difficulty given to the player than "These ninjas nerf the fuck out of your Def and do a big chunk of damage after they hit no matter what" in a narrow corridor where you only ever have to focus on what's immediately in front of that group instead of paying attention to the group's whole surroundings and keeping your vulnerable spots covered.

Doesn't explain how Lunge chains are bullshit though, and that's just more of a game mechanic of the game not map design. And the HP management still lies on your squishier units but yet your tanks can breeze through if their defence is high enough. Poison strike, Savage blow, Grisly wound or Seal defence can break any unit even a tank.

I guess my point is that when I think Fire Emblem, I often want to have a broad map to scatter my units through to try and hit every point of interest and work out what to do with who or what, and Awakening failed in that regard to me because there was just never anything of interest to go after in maps. Conquest was at least a... step in the right direction by having different objectives, but it still feels like a narrow map design where the focus is more on making you deal with a small group of very difficult enemies at a time in succession towards the singular goal, rather than giving you multiple points of interest to worry about tending to and how to best split your party to effectively get everything. Conquest's Chapter 10 was pretty much the only map in that game that fulfilled this desire of mine, and while all the maps in Gaiden may be Rout, the enemy and map design are in such a way that they're open enough to make me actually have to think about how I need to move each of my units safely in regards to spacing and terrain, rather than just looking at the enemies alone and thinking about which of my units can counter them best, or in Conquest's case, not get killed the fastest.

I can see why other people might like Conquest, but it didn't feel at all like what I look for in a Fire Emblem.

It's not going to get any big new games from Nintendo themselves. What you see here will probably be the last of it.
