How far are you? There's almost no weapons that are completely unviable, either you need to upgrade those weapons to the same weapon level as your saw cleaver or your build isn't suited to those weapons.
The DLC weapons are the best though.

For me personally having to farm/buy blood vials is artificial difficulty as fuck, it's baffling to me that rather than building on the estus system they went back to the grass bullshit (oh but you can only use 20 of them so it's okay!).

You do if you actually want to bother with the chalice dungeons, or try to tackle harder areas. You could do harder areas in Dark Souls and not have to worry about expending all your resources, but in Bloodborne you get punished for trying to tackle anything that's above your level.

They could have reduced the max number of blood vials down to 10 or even 6 and it would have been fine as long as they replenished whenever you touched a lantern.

Mostly flailing retard syndrome on a lot of enemies and pretty much any beast boss, some of the patterns are ridiculous because of the lack of block, you can get locked into a pattern where a boss will hit you every time you get up with the same attack and there's no way to dodge out. There's also some really hard to read wind up animations but whatever on that, it's not a huge issue unless they've got enormous differences in startup.
Guns are actually unreactable, which would be fine if the NPCs didn't do actual threatening damage with them and have unlimited ammo.

That's what's annoying me right now, there's other stuff but mostly that's a personal thing (I don't like the parry mechanic being limited in usage and then not even very consistent, estus is better than blood vials, I don't like being FORCED to carry 20 vials, stuff like that.)

What a load of bullshit. Chalices dungeons are the fastest and easiest way to FARM blood vials. If you need to farm them to do chalice dungeons, you're just fucking awful and have no one but yourself to blame.

By the time you reach depth 4, you should have 600 blood vials and bullets just from doing chalice dungeons.

Bloodborne feels like it was designed for veterans of the series. Right away at the start of the game you're just dumped right into central yarnham, which I found to be one of the most complex maps in the entire series. Cleric beast is fine but Gascoigne looks like a very relentless casual filter, as everyone I know, that haven't played already a souls game, struggled to beat him.
