I don't trust Schafer as far as I could throw his kike ass. Grim Fandango and the first Psychonauts were flukes.

It's already a scam. They pitched it with a scheme called fig funding which is their own kickstarter knockoff where you "invest" and get a payout after the game is out but buried in all the legal fine print they don't actually have to pay you back.
