Wavedashing i s super easy in tekken now.

I've been using a fight stick for like 2 years and I've come to the conclusion that I want a hitbox. Shame they cost so much to ship to Canada.

They feel a lot better than controllers to me. Only thing I kind of have an issue on is IADs,and sometimes 360s and 720s but I probably just need more practice.

Yes and no. Depends on the player. I found that using a stick helped a lot with my combos and executions. For others it may not. Really just use whatever you are more conformable with.

Fight Sticks are cooler looking tho.

If PS4s d pad wasnt so shit I would've stayed with pad but its fucking awful if you bend your thumb on 1 direction of the pad up it registers an "up" movement on the controller into the game

Wish there was a way to use Dualshock 3 on ps4 literally perfect pad. To that end however I was sort of "forced" to learn stick and been at it for 3 months now

The Dpad is also pretty good, and the controller in itself feels good to use, in both regular and claw grip.

Nigga, what. Fighting game inputs are literally made for arcade sticks. A quarter circle on hitbox isn't even a quarter circle, it's pressing two buttons next to each other. It's not intuitive in the slightest, especially not compared to a stick or d-pad.

Pad is better than stick in every single way outside of it not being a universal input device. Pad is actually the only input device that has fucking two of them on the same device which nobody really thinks about or bats an eye to even though there's scenario's of people doing things that should be impossible on hitbox or stick.

It's different because inputs are done completely differently on hitbox from how they're displayed in game, and how they were intended by the developers. Simply put, they're unintuitive. A keyboard is basically already a hitbox (albeit not as ergonomic), but hardly anyone use those for fighting games either because like I said, they're not intuitive.

You have no actual idea of what you're talking about and put stick on a pedestal because "I can do my DP motion easiest on stick!" which is pretty much a non-factor when talking about the devices themselves and not just how shit you are. Pad has the fastest button response time because of travel distance is the absolute smallest it can be across any device, it has the actual 2nd best input latency only beaten by custom boards and the TE2+ by a small amount and like I said before games read both the d-pad and the analog stick at once. This is actually broken as shit. An easy example is Vangief in SSF4 doing walking SPD's on which actually just isn't possible otherwise.

I got a HORI fightpad 4 around the same time as SFV's release. The dpad has started to wear out and does double taps at random, and the wire is a little exposed where it connects to the controller. Probably just gonna get a stick and learn it because they're more durable, and way less costly to fix if anything does go wrong.
