Does it change the fact that the characters, setting and lore would not have existed without him? Or that reading the books, story-wise, feels exactly like playing the games? Meaning that CDPR took extra care in staying true to the books.

Or the fact that the games are a continuation of the books, and that every major event that happened in the books (and even many minor ones) it's mentioned at some point in the games? Meaning the games acknowledge that everything which has happened in the books clearly also happened in the canon of the games.
