Pay attention to your teammates positioning. Always. If both of your teammates are in the opposing zone, sit back around mid-field and try to keep the ball in their zone. If one of your teammates is rushing for the ball, stay back in a spot where you can either get a shot off or protect the ball against an opponent clearing it. If one of your teammates is sitting in net, be more aggressive. Never assume that you are the only one being active. That is how you are put into positions where your whole team smacks into the ball while in the opposing zone and the opponent gets a free shot on an open net.

If you are asking how to git gud mechanically, you just need to play a lot. The training mode helps a lot, especially some of the custom training modules.

At first i tried it for novelty, and now its become my favorite and the one im most competent in playing. I skipped 2v2 entirely.

It is also the most raging inducing like others have said. If you dont score but follow through, the opponent has a free goal most of the time., probably the most easily exploitable rookie mistake but can happen to anyone.

Getting good at competitive games is 90% mentality and 10% execution. Unless you're learning crazy 1f combos or something, the execution bit is trivial to learn and catch up with.

It's learning the mentality that's much more qualitative, someone could be playing for 10 years and still be shit, it could click for you and you'll surpass them in a month. I wouldn't write off your chances just because you're late to the party, other people reach their own ceilings and stop getting better.

Takumi is one of the shortest car in a game. Thanks to that when you're doing aerials and holding a keyboard button, car don't turn like crazy so you got more control.

Teammates vary a lot as well, sometimes we mesh really well and the rotation works beautifully while with others the positioning is all over the place. I really don't want to add anyone to play premade with too since I don't play too often and usually listen to podcasts as well so I don't want to communicate much either.

I get real real salty about really shit teammates, but I think it's just me, I cannot consistently be as good as I am at my peak. When I'm playing well, I definitely could rank in plat, but some days I just fumble around and can't focus.

I'm trying to force myself to watch everyone at once, I really fuck up with estimating bounces sometimes.
