Is this shit ever getting released?
>>376002418
No, at least not as the game it's been advertised as
>>376002418
try more fiber
No. It's dogshit
>>376002418
MIGHTY

One multiplayer video I watched looked amazing
Couple of space combat videos I watched looked amazing
Shame it will be shit
>>376002418
I think my brain has officially shelved it right along with my hopes for HL3.
The more ships you buy the closer the release date gets.
>been in development for literally years now
>nothing to show for it but a very fancy office for the dev studio, 3d models of ships, and pre-rendered trailers
I cannot wait until this shitshow is released, the butthurt will be cataclysmic
but they've been showing lots of progress lately!
>"progress" is all videos of CIG employees bullshitting on camera
it's like one of those PBS begathons except it goes on for years and years and years
also PBS actually will ship you a working tote bag
I wonder if the Kikestarter meme is dying.

i kind of hope SC will go out with a bang and not a whimper, just because crowdfunding needs some big horrible cautionary tale

ITS NOT ONLY A GAME, ITS A PYRAMID SCHEME

have you seen this shit?
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1791529601/ashes-of-creation-new-mmorpg-by-intrepid-studios
they got a literal pyramid scheme in it; the head guy is notorious for MLM. made $1M the first day, all of the backers taking high-tier shit in a way that is not typical for kickstarters at all
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/schedule-report
Every single thread on this game:
>Relies on player feedback to continue and improve gameplay.
>"Its shit"
>Provides no feedback to actual devs and complains here instead.
>Wonders why it's still shit

MMO whales are desperate enough for a new game to whale on that's why.
>>376007905
>lying
People already said a lot over the years. Their response is either buy more ships, we are working on it, here's new features or silence.
And most of the community's response? THAT'S OKAY HERE'S MORE CASH.

all the sane people left long ago, and the remaining citizens are a special kind of stupid
i first heard of this game ~4 years ago when i was shopping for computer parts. it was shown to be in development and to be attempting to do something bigger than any game ever before.
i bought my first and only ship about 2 years ago. The amount of progress ive experienced in that time is incredible, the game may be a never ending curve of improvement.
Who is all this shitposting coming from? Is someone seriously SO pissed off about something this game is doing? i dont get it. i just played it today, first time playing this latest update.
Whats the deal?

Releasing a full game is a meme
>>376008973
between discs being sold with locked DLC content and games receiving consistent updates via online servers, you are correct.
>>376002418
Whenever you see a title that is a "yes or no" question, the answer is almost universally "no".
I got my refund nearly a year ago. The company is making steady progress but they are still yet to solve core technological problems needed to make the open universe actually happen.
I don't think they are going to succeed. Re-writing cryengine for a space MMO is a dumb idea. I think they will eventually renege on this aspect of the game and all the backers will be left with some sort of compromise. Failure will also set other features that are 'ready' back, causing further delays and/or content cuts.
Glad I got out while I still could.
>>376002418
Yes, eventually.
>>376007320
Holy shit
>get 15% of whatever your referrals spend
WE LITERALLY A PYRAMID SCHEME
Anon, I thought you were just memeing. Jesus Christ.
>>376002418
Pffffffft. Hell to the no. This is going to go down as the biggest scam in all of gaming, perhaps the biggest scam in all of crowd funding history, a 9 figure scam that maybe will get sites like kikestarter shut down fro good.

Hiring 400 people is a pretty shitty way to store money in the Caymans desu.

space. the final frontier.
