Anyways I'm a PC fag myself and I played this originally on the Xbox, therefor I am an ubersmench on this topic and have a higher opinion value.

Bayonetta's best points are the cool/funny/edgy cutscenes that leave you craving for them after each one, the story is mediocre if you don't take it seriously like I did back in the day but now that I got to re-play it on PC I think the story is somewhat decent desu, it's silly as fuck ofcourse and sounds kiddish at many points because this game is really non-linear and basically a deformity of our current modern-world.

Some tougher enemies like the dogs or durgas have attacks with barely any tells. You have to know every single enemy's animations by heart to be able to do no damage runs. Something that only comes with a lot of grinding.

Did just that and it didn't work. It only seemed to work if I did it preemptively.

Why can't you just retry each level from the checkpoints? I know you can quit to menu but even with fast loading it's still pointlessly slower than an alternative "retry" option on the pause menu. Also if you end up getting a shit score you have to retry the entire stage to go over it again, just wastes your time, I would have no problem whatsoever of having a uniqe score reserved for a "one attempt/playthrough" but outside of that I just want to be able to retry specific parts over and over.

PC when?

I've been watching many PC let's players to figure out what exactly gives them troubles when playing Bayonetta, and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that everyone attacks way too closely to the enemies, which means they are open to getting hurt or constantly dodging, which completely interrupts their combo strings, and its absolutely important to finish a combo sequence with a wicked weave because that's where it does the most damage. So my advice is to NOT button mash your attacks but rather press and hold down your attack buttons in sequences from a distance. With the scarborough fair, you'll do plenty of damage on the enemies by simply damaging them enough from the bullets, and from a fairly good distance, you'll be free enough to perform wicked weaves just fine. By learning to do this, you'll also learn to dodge offset, which is done by holding your attack button WHILE dodging. This not only allows you constantly shoot your bullets while moving around, but it will also allow you to continue your attacks uninterrupted. You can even hold down the button while running around as a panther, so you can essentially buffer your wicked weave as you run around before actually summoning it. This video best explains how dodge offsetting work, and it's absolutely the key to getting better at Bayonetta.
