There once was an awkward prince who found love, politics, and even general interactions difficult. His only comfort was practising swordplay in the courtyard.
After a hundred days of practice, he began to feel stronger. As this strength turned to confidence and washed away his anxieties, the prince devoted himself to mastering the sword.
After a thousand days of practice, he forget the stress of politics and intrigue. Such things brought only lies and betrayal, but his sword never did.

With joy coursing through his veins, the lord rode out and slaughtered all the animals till not one remained in the forest. By the by, the lord lived happily on to a ripe old age.

It is. It's actually more depressing to think about how your life could've been, you could've been happy and successful with lots of friends and achieving great things that will make your name known throughout all of history.

But the reality is life doesn't work that way. You can't predict how life could've been if things were different. There is no great plan that you are or are not on. Everyone grows old, everyone is the same when you're dead, and just like money you can't take fame with you to the grave.

So don't worry about it and just enjoy life as you are. That's pretty comforting to me.

The pair loved each other but the girl remained distant to avoid the pain of losing a lover.
Eventually the boy decided his existence was meaningless and took his own life.
The girl desperately searched for a way to save him but found nothing.
Unable to bear the grief, she fell into an eternal slumber.
