Also if you really want the game at it's hardest, don't use Dixie. She's easy mode.

DK only hard mode is by far the hardest thing in the series

Having a lot of lives isn't really an indicator for difficulty anyway.

A hard game might shower you with lives but that doesn't mean the game is easy.

Lives are honestly and outdated concept. I mean what exactly is your penalty for losing all of them? A game over? Oh no, what a setback. A lot of games these days don't even have lives.

I found that TF was a little bit less difficult. The big difference is that DKC2s save system was retarded and brutal forcing you to grind lives to complete the later levels.

Just because it's not as hard as the SNES ones doesn't mean it isn't a relatively hard modern 2D platformer.
