Quick matches only take 10-20 minutes, you'll probably be done with the five matches it takes for skins in an hour even if you hate it. If you've played LoL it's just that minus last hitting minions and only having 2 team fights the entire game.

I found it pretty ok for what it is. Its good enough that its not boring or annoying to play but I wouldn't play it for more than a match or two at a time. I also like the different maps and objectives but the ones where you cant just directly kill the core yourself are fucking horrible. They take FOREVER to complete.

It's alright. More bearable if you play with an actual friend and you both have a clue and try to win. You can just throw matches but the 15 minutes sitting and fucking around is longer than the 20 something minutes you spend trying to have fun. Nothing I'd ever go back to but it was a decent experience.

If you don't give a fuck about anything and don't have friends and just want to run over Lucio as Police D.Va, just use New Players chat in game or the LFG tool and send a friend invite to someone/everyone on your team real quick.

its kinda fun, no item buying means much simpler gameplay whether thats a good thing or not to you. the 'gametypes' on each map are refreshing. some weird things like towers having ammo and neutral creeps you can 'hire' temporarily.

the biggest issue i have with the game is how unimportant dying is. it seems like for the first three quarters of a game, dying has almost no detriment to your team, unlike dota or HoN where dying in the first five minutes of the game brings shame upon your famiry.

Deaths matter a whole lot in HotS, especially so before level 10.

It might just be the matchmaking tinting your views here. Compare to Dota, where if a shitter dies against another shitter a couple of times over it doesn't really change that much in the long run, because the shitter with the gold and exp advantage is going to make poor decisions with it anyway.

It's 90% of what I play these days. There's much better games. I've barely played Zelda for example, even though it amazed me. The thing HotS has going for it is the accessibility and being multiplayer. It's just so easy to jump into and be playing a fun game with other people, and matches are short. If you find time hard to find and need something that doesn't take the better part of an hour to commit to, it's a great game. I do find myself thinking I should go back to Dota, but it just feels a bit sluggish, long and stressful in comparison. But Dota is the deeper game, no doubt.
