The reviews and complains mainly focus on how shitty the story was, I don't think it has to do with the genre since the gameplay, exploration and fun its still there

It's better than the last hope and the cast is much much better too and the mc is thankfully not named edge maverick.

I was surprised at how fun it was. I had really low expectations but it was really fun. Better than Last Hope for sure.

It's a fun game.
I'm a SO fan and I loved it.
Yeah, the story is bad. AS ALWAYS.
The gameplay and music are great, all the star ocean feelings are there.

I think what pissed me off more than anything is the loli gets kidnaped like 5 times. At one point you get her back from a villan, 5 mins later she gets kidnaped again.

That and the shit story overall. Combat was entertaining for a while.

It's okay. Biggest problem is the lack of battle skills. You will more or less use the same skills for the entire game.

i've always wanted it because it looks better than the fourth one. but from what i've gathered over the year, it seems to be very short, not just in game length but in things to do.

the fourth game was one of the only games i can remember ever refusing to play again.

The only somewhat decent story was SO3, and even that is highly debatable.

Get it for the superbosses. Ethereal Queen a best

Bought it full price and regretted it immensely. If you can get it on a massive sale it might be worth it though.

You're better off just playing Berseria though.
