It's an arcade FPS with rogue-like elements such as procedural generation, shops, power-ups, pick-ups, scores, and so on.

From what I've seen, the devs have put a lot of effort into giving the tiles and assets that are used in the procedural generation a lot of Doom and Quake love in terms of level design. Monster closets, doomlifts, secrets behind elevators.

As for the weapons, you start of a pick of three:

>Shotgun
>Railgun
...but can further customize them into several variants and combinations of primary and alternative fire.

There will be some auxiliary weapons that are more like limited use power ups, such as black holes, rocket launchers, etc. The environment will have things you can pick up and throw that explode. I hope the item and power up variety is decent. Arcade Survival games with proc-gen elements live and die on item and power up variety. Can't imagine Binding of Isaac without the 50 billion different abilities. Can't imagine Enter the Gungeon without the 50 billion different guns.

Different primaries, different secondaries, environmental explosives and a robust set of well-designed tiles is a good start, but there needs to be even more variety. The weapons aren't a whole lot different from just picking different characters in Isaac or Gungeon.
